TOPGOLF

Thanks to the generous support of the Mudnick Foundation, our 7th grade students at Neah-Kah-Nie Middle School were able to participate in an exciting learning experience at Topgolf following the completion of a three-week golf unit in Physical Education.

During our golf unit, students learned and practiced fundamental golf skills including grip, stance, swing mechanics, putting, and golf etiquette. The trip to Topgolf provided students with an authentic opportunity to apply these newly developed skills in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. Many students who had never played golf before were excited to discover that they could successfully use the skills they had learned in class, and their confidence grew as they saw their improvement throughout the experience.

The event encouraged students to challenge themselves, support their classmates, and celebrate one another’s successes. Students were highly engaged, demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, and enjoyed friendly competition while continuing to develop lifelong physical activity skills. For many, this was their first visit to Topgolf and a memorable opportunity they may not have otherwise experienced.

In addition to the golf activities, students enjoyed a meal together, allowing them to build relationships and create positive memories outside of the traditional classroom setting. The smiles, laughter, and excitement throughout the day reflected the impact that meaningful experiential learning can have on students.

We are incredibly grateful to the Mudd Nick Foundation for making this experience possible. Their support allowed our students to extend their classroom learning into the real world, gain confidence in their abilities, and create lasting memories with their peers. It was a truly special experience that our students will remember for years to come.
